History

This house was owner/architect designed and built in 1940 by CW Morden who must have been a forward thinker for his time with all the interesting details he added to the house; built in ironing board, clothes drying racks, vented food pantry, pass through for garbage to name a few. There is still a large bulletin board in #4 bedroom where he had his drawing board.

Interesting Layout

This furnished four bedroom/four bathroom house has the Main Living/Dining and kitchen on the upper floor. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms on this level. The master and second bedroom, both have king beds (the second bedroom has the option of twin beds if requested). Each bedroom has a full bath. From a parking space next to the house there is an access ramp to the covered deck which cantilevers out over the cliff and has breathtaking views.

The downstairs patio is tucked in under the upper deck and brings light and view to the daylight basement eat-in kitchen. On this lower level the third bedroom is a suite with a queen bed and TV/sitting area and the bathroom has a tub/shower. The fourth bedroom/full bath combo has a king bed with option of twins beds if desired. The lower level has a laundry room and is accessible from both inside and outside stairs.

Recreation

During the warm months the Willamette River is busy with activity. There are many choices for water sports; sculling, speed boats, tour boats, fishing, paddle boards and kayaking. Dock access for a boat or water sports is available upon request. We have a couple paddle boards ready for use.

Portland is a great place to ride bikes wherever you need to go or just for fun! We have detailed maps for walking or biking. Choose what trail, loop or path that suits your preferences, from short & fairly easy to longer & more demanding.

Waverley Country Club is across the river. There is no other golf course in the Pacific Northwest that combines such a superior level of breathtaking environment and golf. I’ve been told there are ways to be a guest at this private course. The prospective guest must have his own club call Waverley to request a day.
